Skirt Akiko
Akiko is a skirt inspired by the umbrella.That is why we call it "The umbrella skirt".
Its style is a symbiosis between the workwear, because of its braces in a "ladder" style and the more casual-feminine style that comes from its wingspan.
The fabric is an absolute breakthrough! It is waterproof, windproof and 100% organic cotton.

Fabric: Eta Proof is 100% waterproof, windpfoof, organic cotton.
Interfacing: 85% Organic Cotton / 15% Kapok.
Threads: This sewing thread is made of 100% of the celluosic fiber Tencel™. It was dyed according to the strict guidelines of Cradle to Cradle® Gold. Thus, it is 100% biodegradable. It also meets the standards of Oeko- Tex® Standard 100.
Buttons: 100 % stone nut GOTS certified.
Zipper: Cradle to cradle certified 100% biodegradable polymer.
circularity.ID Label: The circularity.ID transparently holds the full story of the garment from raw materials to finished product, to identify recycling possibilities. 100% Recycled Polyester.
Care Label: 100% Organic Cotton.
Size Label: The size labels are made from 100% polyester. Due to the very small size of the labels, it will not interfere with the garment’s overall cyclability or recyclability since it is a small percentage of the overall garment composition.

Take Back approach: If you no longer would like to wear your selected piece, please send it back to our headquarters in Darmstadt. We will take care of it to be in use for longer. We will refurbish or repair if needed and resell it. If it is irreparable, we will deliver it to our recycling partners.
Recycling: All our materials have been carefully selected with the close collaboration and support of circular.fashion and following specific feedstock parameters set by their recycling partners. At end of use, the pieces can be delivered to a recycler for high-quality chemical or mechanical recycling.
